Internet Explorer 4.x:

Configure Internet Explorer (I.E.) for use with SafeKeeperPLUS.com

Adjust the Cache:

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu, select View/Internet Options.
  2. In the Temporary Internet files section, click the Settings button.
  3. At the top of the dialog select Every time you start Internet Explorer.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Disable the cookie warning:

  1. From the I.E. menu, select View/Internet Options.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Cookies section and select the Always accept cookies option.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Enable SSL:

  1. From the I.E. menu, select View/Internet Options.
  2. From the dialog that appears select the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Security section.
  4. Place a check on the SSL 2 and SSL 3 options.
  5. Click OK to save the settings.

Known Issues

  1. Some difficulties in processing cookies. Please use only one browser at a time.
  2. The BACKSPACE key defaults to the Go Back function. The key cannot be used to edit a selection list.

Adjust the Cache:

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu, select View/Internet Options.
  2. In the Temporary Internet files section, click the Settingsbutton.
  3. At the top of the dialog, select Every time you start Internet Explorer.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Disable the cookie warning:

  1. From the I.E. menu select View/Internet Options.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select the Security tab.
  3. In the Select a Web content zone to specify its security settings box, select Trusted Sites and click the Sites button.
  4. In the Add Web site to the zone field, type http://www.SafeKeeperPLUS.com and click the Add button.
  5. If the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone box is checked, click the box to remove the checkmark.
  6. Click OK in the dialog to save the site in your Trusted Sites list.
  7. Click OK in the window to save your settings.

Enable SSL:

  1. From the I.E. menu, select View/Internet Options.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Security section.
  4. Place a check on the SSL 2 and SSL 3 options.
  5. Click OK to save the settings.

Adjust the Cache:

  1. From the Netscape Navigator menu, select Edit/Preferences.
  2. From the dialog that appears, double-click the Advanced category.
  3. Select the Cache sub-category.
  4. Select Once per session.
  5. Click OK to save the settings.

Disable the cookie warning:

  1. From the Netscape Navigator menu, select Edit/Preferences.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select the Advanced category.
  3. In the Cookies section, select the Accept all cookies option.
  4. Uncheck the Warn me before accepting a cookie option.
  5. Click OK to save the settings.

Enable JavaScript:

  1. From the Netscape Navigator menu, select Edit/Preferences.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select the Advanced category.
  3. Place a check next to the Enable JavaScript option.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Enable SSL:

  1. From the Netscape Navigator menu, select Communicator/Security Info.
  2. From the dialog that appears, select Navigator.
  3. In the Advanced Security Configuration section, place a check next to Enable SSL 2 and Enable SSL 3.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Known Issues

  1. The use of the ENTER and TAB keys is not always available.
  2. Some screen objects will not display the hand pointer when needed.
  3. Printing Frames: When viewing frames, the Print function is not available until one of the frames has focus. To achieve focus on the desired frame, click on any non-hyperlinked area.
  4. Printing No Frames: When viewing a non-frame web page, the Print function will not invoke the Printer Selection Dialog until the page is selected. To select the page, click on any non-hyperlinked area.
  5. Netscape does not display the Alternative text for transparent GIF images.
  6. Tables are not rendered properly and will sometimes overlap images.
  7. Implementation of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) differs between browsers. Glossary links may appear blue instead of green.
